A Restoration Project Like No Other
Jenny the Camaro is a unique car with an even more unique story.
Zach Straits, a fellow Virginian and self-proclaimed “car nut,” finally tracked down his birth mother in 2006 after years of searching for her. Upon meeting his mother, Darlene, he also met his sister, his brother, and eventually, he even met his biological grandmother’s 1967 Camaro, Jenny.
Darlene had inherited Jenny from her mother, Betty. When Betty special-ordered her Camaro in 1967, she had it built with the Super Sport and Rally Sport options — a 295-horse 350 with a Powerglide transmission.
In 2012, Zach brought Jenny from Arizona back to Virginia. Since then, he’s brought it on tour to major events and shows around the country. Next, it landed here at Autobody Pro Shop for a major restoration. We loved having this chance to breathe new life into such a rare beauty!
